At Family & Women’s Health at Avalon Park, Dr. Constant-Peter specializes in all gynecologic care, including complete well woman care across all ages and stages of life. From puberty to the pill and from family planning to peri-menopause, the entire medical team possesses the unique capabilities to keep our patients, well.

A well-woman exam is a wonderful opportunity to talk about general health and wellness with your doctor. We strive to help all patients living or working in the East Orlando to discover ways to develop healthy habits; and learn about counseling and support groups related to personal situations. Beyond individual health care, well woman exams extend to caring for the entire family.

Though it should be obvious by the name of the exam, the Well-Woman Exam is the foundation of wellness, the promotion of overall health and the prevention and/or identification of diseases throughout a woman’s entire life. Dr. Constant-Peter reminds female patients that early detection often results in a cure—or at least increases the ability to properly manage a disease.

Annual Well-Woman Exam

As soon as a woman becomes sexually active, or at least at age 21, every woman should have a well woman exam, which includes the following:

  • Annual Exam
  • Health History
  • Physical Exam
  • Breast Exam
  • Pelvic Exam
  • Assessment of other Health Concerns

Additional and/or sporadic aspects of an annual Well Woman Exam include:

  • Pap Test (pap smear)
  • Lab Work
  • Blood Tests
  • Urine Tests

We can help every patient navigate the unique stages of womanhood. Feeling heard, being understood and getting the right answers, coupled with the best possible care is a cornerstone of the gynecologic philosophy of care provided at Family & Women’s Health at Avalon Park.
